Continuing their run of impressive showings at various B’school fests AIMK students managed to add another feather to their already crowded hat by being deemed first runners up overall in the Bhawanipur Guajarati Education Society (BGES) BBA-dept college festival called kurukshetra. AIMK students took part in various events and competitions of kurukshetra ranging from share trading, debate, quiz, creative writing to corporate fashion show &western dance. IIT Guwahati:
Prize : 1st Prize.
Team : Koel Ghorai (MBA-12, AIMK), Raj Sekaran (NID, Ahmedabad) and Soumen Dutta (IIFT, Kolkata).
The business plan competition on retail management was held at IIT, Guwahati on 5th sept 2008. The event “ Business Guru ” was a part of the tech fest named “ Techniche ” of IIT, Guwahati and was judged by professors from IIM and IIT, Kanpur. The team won cash prize of rs 10,000.
Heritage Business School:
Prize : Gold Medal.
Team : Nirupama Sachan (MBA-10) And Akash Kumar Chowdhry (MBA-11).
 
Topic : " SEZ myth or reality " .
There were eight teams from different B-schools who had taken part in the presentation competition from all parts of Kolkata. The time allotted to each team was a maximum of 10 minutes each and only two members per team were allowed.
St. Xavier’s College:
Prize : Bronze medal.
Team : Paridhi Shrivastava (MBA-11) and Akash Kumar Chowdhry (MBA-11).
Topic : " Can Kolkata be the best living city by 2020 " .
There were seven teams from different graduate and postgraduate colleges who had taken part in the presentation competition. The event was organized by an organization knows for Kolkata.

Battle Royale '08:
SERENDIPITY '08, Discover Happiness. This was the name of the b-school meet event. one of the part of it was Battle Royale - A competitive duel between different colleges, where new products and services are churned out and showcased through corporate presentations.
Various rounds
Round 1- HR. A critical situation was given to the teams and they had to apply their HR knowledge to analyze the situation and present the solution, teams were asked to enact the case on stage. In the AIMK team participants and their respective roles were Pardeep kumar(CEO), Bhavini Singh (Director HR), Navendu Sharma (GM HR).
Round 2- Finance . A fund raising game was introduced and teams were asked to manage fund and to raise your money by applying you finance concept. AIMK participants with their respective roles were Amrita Talukdar (Director Finance), Riya Mondal (GM Finance).
Round 3- Marketing. Have to give a presentation on INNOVATIVE BANKING SERVICES covering what kind of new services a bank can offer. Participant were Pardeep Kumar (CEO), Abhinav Das Gupta (Director Marketing), Anand Dodrajka (GM Marketing).
Round 4- Business Quiz. Participant were Pardeep Kumar, Abhinav Das Gupta and Amrita Talukdar. Under the sponsorship of TIMES OF INDIA, with big prize amount, AIMK people have again proved that they can win such battle on any ground.
