{mosimage} There were enough reasons to celebrate on the 10th Foundation Day of Army Institute of Management, Kolkata on 28th July, 2007. Be it celebrating its 10 years of existence, be it the growth it has witnessed over this period of time, be it the arrival of MBA-11 batch or be it celebrating the achievements of AIMK’s alumni who have added to the reputation of the institute. AIMK has been successfully accomplishing its mission of grooming managers for tomorrow with Indian values.
Honorable Chairman Maj. Gen. Deepak Raj (GOC Bengal Area) was the chief guest on this special day. As he addressed the students, he emphasized that he “would not leave any stone unturned to provide AIMK with every facility be it technology, infrastructure or faculty.” After his address, he interacted with many students individually.
The formal session was followed by a short cultural programme, which was attended by the Director, Registrar, all faculty members and students of MBA-10 & 11. The programme was anchored by Sumit Bhattacharya of MBA-10 and Disha Kanwar of MBA-11. The programme was an opportunity for the new batch to exhibit their talent. And indeed, they came up to expectations. A melodious self-composed song by Rohitash Negi of MBA-11 was the best way to begin the show. This was followed by a western group dance, which sent the adrenalin rushing. A soft duet song by Raju Mishra and Neha Chaubey, an electrifying bhangra performance and a group song by the students of MBA-11 were the other programmes, which further added to the beauty of the show.
Foundation Day was an opportunity not only to celebrate the achievements of the past but also to look forward to travel the path of growth and development ahead.
