It was our pleasure to attend a lecture organised by TATA Steel on “Potential and Constraints of India Emerging as a Global Economic Power” on July 26th, 2008 at TATA Centre, Kolkata. 36 students from our institute attended this seminar. Two of them were actively involved in the organising committee of this seminar. The lecture was presided by Prof. B. B. Bhattacharya, Vice Chancellor JNU, New Delhi. He did his M.A. (Economics) from Delhi school of Economics. He is a President of Indian Economic Association. His area of interest is in subjects like Macro Economics, public financing etc. Along with Prof. B. B. Bhattacharya we had an opportunity to meet Mrs. Suchitra Guha (Head HR-IR Commercial - TATA) and Mr. Deodatta Singh (Manager Brand Management – TATA Steel).
